The Murciélago Manual.
A gated 6-speed conversion for the last analog V12 flagship. Business days in the shop. One-year warranty. Built in Las Vegas.
The last analog V12 deserves an analog transmission.
Lamborghini shipped the Murciélago with e-gear. It was the right engineering answer for its era. Two decades later, drivers know exactly what it cost the car. We put the third pedal back.
Engagement
Gated 6-speed. Weighted throw. The shifter every Lamborghini flagship had from Miura through Diablo.
Reliability
Retires the e-gear pump, actuators, and control unit. The single most failure-prone system on the platform. Fewer parts, fewer failures.
Value
Documented manual conversions command significant premiums at auction. A restoration, not a modification.
The Process.
Intake & Inspection
Full vehicle audit before a single wrench turns. Baseline diagnostic on the V12, the e-gear system, the driveline, and the chassis. Every finding photographed and documented. Every car ships with a USB drive containing full before, during, and after photos of the build.
Engine Removal
The V12 comes out of the chassis. Exhaust, intake, wiring harness, and driveline disconnected in sequence. Every fastener bagged and labeled. With the motor out, the full engine bay is detailed, the chassis is detailed, and the motor itself is detailed before anything goes back together.
e-gear System Removal
The hydraulic actuator, pump, TCU, and all e-gear plumbing come out for good. The failure-prone components leave the car permanently. The tunnel is cleaned and prepped for the manual gate.
Gearbox Rework
Transmission disassembled on the bench. Bearings, synchros, and shift forks inspected. New torque tube bearing installed. The gearbox is prepped for manual duty and refreshed with OEM-spec internals wherever wear demands it.
Shift Gate Fabrication & Install
The Royalty metal gate is fabricated in-house from stock. Precision-machined, corrosion-treated, and finished before it meets the car.
Pedal Box & Linkage
Two-pedal aluminum pedal box installed. Clutch master cylinder plumbed, linkage aligned, shift rods torqued to spec. The factory gas pedal stays separate. Every connection double-checked before the drivetrain goes back in.
Clutch & Flywheel
New OEM clutch and flywheel installed to torque-spec. New pilot bearing, new throwout bearing seated. Bellhousing sealed. The manual driveline is complete and ready to mate to the V12.
Engine Reinstall
V12 returns to the chassis on fresh OEM engine mounts. Driveline reconnected, harness routed, exhaust hung. New coolant hose fitted. New coolant, new engine oil, new gear oil, new brake fluid, and new power steering fluid. Oil, fuel, air, and power steering filters replaced with OEM parts. Every fluid at spec and pressure-tested before the key turns.
ECU Reflash & Calibration
ECU reflashed for the manual driveline. Idle, throttle mapping, and driveline calibration verified. The car has to be right on paper before it goes on the road.
Detail & Road Certification
100 mile mixed-condition test protocol. Every shift, every gear, every rev range. Full detail before hand-off. Delivered with a certificate of build, full photograph record, and a one-year warranty on the shift mechanism.
Engineered, not modified.
The Royalty Manual conversion, measured against the factory e-gear configuration.
Three variants. Three builds.
The Murciélago Manual Conversion is priced by variant. Pre-LP, LP, and SV / LP650 platforms require different engineering scope. Additional services quoted separately.

Reserve Your Slot →The questions we hear most.
Answers straight from the shop floor. Anything not covered here, we respond within one business day.
Does the conversion affect the car's value?
Documented, professionally executed manual conversions of the Murciélago consistently trade at 18 to 35 percent premiums over comparable e-gear examples at major auctions. Full build documentation is delivered with every car.
What's your warranty and what does it cover?
Every build includes a one year, unlimited mileage warranty on the shift mechanism, gate assembly, linkage, and pedal box. Serviced by the same technicians who performed the original conversion.
Is it street-legal in all 50 states?
Yes. The conversion has no impact on emissions, safety, or lighting systems. Vehicles are returned with the same registration and titling as they arrived.
Do you handle transport?
Enclosed transport can be arranged to and from any location in the continental US.
What years and variants are supported?
All Murciélago production years (2004 to 2010) and all variants including LP640, LP670-4 SV, and Roadster configurations. Coupé and Roadster builds are executed to the same specification.
What if my car needs additional work during the conversion?
Sometimes we find work worth doing while the drivetrain is already out. Motor mounts, gaskets, seals, tensioners. When that happens, we do the labor at no extra cost. You only pay for the parts. Your car leaves better than it arrived.
